Parker is a perfect fit for new manager

AFC Sudbury manager Jamie Godbold said he was "delighted" on Friday to be able to announce the signing of Craig Parker from Ryman Premier Leiston.

The highly-rated free-scoring midfielder is set to go straight into Goldbold's side at Brentwood Town in Saturday's fifth versus fourth clash in Ryman North.

The 28-year-old, who was top scorer at Leiston in his first season after joining from Bury Town in June 2013, previously turned out for Chelmsford City and Needham Market.

UEFA A licence holder Godbold, who was appointed earlier this month at the King's Marsh Stadium as the successor to David Batch, believes that with his experience, his new signing will settle in quickly.

The Yellows manager said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be bringing in Craig. He will bring great experience and will fit in well with the structure of the club.

"I've played with Craig and know exactly what he brings. With the current gaps we have he will fit right in."
