Plush new home for training

Wingate & Finchley's players are set to benefit from a new state-of-the-art football complex over the course of the 2016-17 Ryman Premier campaign.

The Blues announced on Monday that they are a partner club in a new facility opening in September on Barnet Lane housing a full size floodlit 4G astro surface, a grass pitch, pavilion and changing rooms.

In a statement on their website, officials at the Harry Abrahams Stadium said: "This will allow our first, development and youth teams to train at the same facility. Any other clubs or individuals wishing to hire the astro should email hwstrust@gmail.com as there are still some slots available."
