Ryman League

Fans have until 7pm on Christmas Eve to vote for their Ryman League 'Team of the Week'.

The online poll was launched in November when the Non-League Review teamed up with Thursday night's Ryman Round-up Show to give fans a chance to vote on the league's top weekly performances, Great Wakering Rovers winning the inaugural vote.

When Guernsey FC won last week's poll to follow in the footsteps of Rovers, Hythe Town and Burgess Hill Town, the new competition was even headlined on ITV.com.

The fifth poll sees Peacehaven & Telscombe among the six clubs nominated, the Magpies securing their place for their victory over high flying Margate while Thamesmead Town are in the running for their 3-2 win against Harlow Town after being 2-0 down.

Heybridge Swifts were nominated for their away win at Thurrock, Walton Casuals for their victory over promotion chasing Whyteleafe, Leatherhead for beating Leiston and Brightlingsea Regent for their 4-0 win against Redbridge.

With the Ryman Round-up Show currently taking a break over the festive period until the New Year, the Non-League Review will be unveiling the Christmas winner on the website on Christmas Day.

To vote visit: Non-League Review Ryman Team of the Week 24.12.14.

Guernsey manager Tony Vance was delighted to his side recognised for their 4-3 win at Whitstable Town in last week's poll. The Green Lions edged it with 45.01% of the vote while Burgess Hill Town were second with 37.71% for beating Aldershot in the FA Trophy.

Vance told the club's website: "I'm pleased for the lads to get some credit during such a tough period for the club. These awards are generally for big wins or a win for a low team against a top team.

"To gain recognition for gaining something from a match when logistically we are being tested to the maximum, something no other team can claim to have to contend with on such a regular basis, is fantastic."

He added: "Hopefully it is a good platform to build on as we try and improve our run of results."
