Ramsgate have confirmed the signing of winger Gil Carvalho- but also that centre-back Jacob Mensah is to join Brighton and Hove Albion.
Carvalho, who is well known to Rams manager Nick Davis after being part of his squad at Sittingbourne, joins a squad currently climbing up the South East Division table after only one defeat in their last five matches- the defeat coming last weekend at Horsham.
The player started the season at Premier Division Corinthian-Casuals, making eleven appearances, scoring two goals, and getting sent off against Folkestone Invicta; but left King George's Field at the end of October. Last season he made fourteen appearances for Sittingbourne and then nineteen for Phoenix Sports.

But it isn't all good news for Rams fans. The club have also confirmed that centre-back Jacob Mensah has signed for Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion, so will be swapping the Kent coast for that of Sussex. He wil be joining the Seagulls Academy.
Davis, speaking to the club website, stated:
“It’s not often that a Premier League club comes in for one of your players to show his talents. I’m personally delighted for him and I wish him all the best.
It shows all the hard work behind the scenes at the club.”
