Ryman South leaders Burgess Hill Town have unveiled fast food restaurant giants Subway as one of their new sponsors at the Green Elephants Stadium.

The Hillians, currently 14 points clear with a game in hand of their nearest rivals, announced on Monday that Subway had agreed a three year deal to become the title sponsors of their new 101 seater Clubhouse Stand.

Burgess Hill Town’s commercial manager Russ Rego, pictured alongside Subway's franchisee Matthew Cates and Hillians chairman Kevin Newell, said: “Subway's three year sponsorship of our new Clubhouse Stand is further proof that the club and our sponsor partners are supporting the club in improving facilities for our supporters and visitors to the Green Elephants Stadium.”

The addition of a new Clubhouse Stand is another example of further improvement to the facilities on offer to the supporters and Mr Cates hopes that it will encourage more families to come to watch the games. Mr

Cates, who recently opened the latest branch of the US restaurant chain in the town, hopes their sponsorship of the improved facilities for fans will help the club's officials achieve their aim of encouraging more families on matchdays as their partnership develops.

He said: “Subway in Burgess Hill is extremely pleased to be entering into this sponsorship deal with Burgess Hill Town FC and is proud to be able to support the team, which is clearly so important to the local community and to the town.”
