Riza wants to rain on Town's title parade

Cheshunt's player-manager Omer Riza is hoping to derail Witham Town's Ryman North title bid at Theobalds Lane on Saturday.

Garry Kimble's top of the table side will wrap up the championship with a win over the Ambers or even a draw or defeat if their nearest rivals VCD Athletic drop points or lose at home to Romford.

Riza, the former Arsenal striker who took the helm midway through the campaign, is relishing the final day fixture and hoping to rain on their visitors' parade.

Riza told the Hertfordshire Mercury on Wednesday: "I’m really looking forward to it. It’s not a nothing game as some can be at this time of the season and we know they will be coming to win.

"We lost 3-1 to them at their place but we played really well. It’s about doing a job and it’s nice to have such a big game to finish. Hopefully there will be a good crowd.”

* Tilbury's Cordi Niles won't be featuring in the final game of the season on Saturday after suffering a serious knee during Bank Holiday Monday's 2-1 home win over Cheshunt.

The Dockers expect the 22-year-old to be out of action for two to three months after he was taken to hospital by ambulance after slipping and turning his knee on the stroke of half-time.
