Road to Wembley is open after draws for cups!

The Ryman League's clubs are eyeing up their first opponents in the FA Cup and FA Trophy when the new season kicks off after the draws for the early rounds of both competitions were made at Wembley on Friday.

In the newly sponsored Emirates FA Cup, £1925 in prize money and a place in the first qualifying round will be up for grabs on Saturday 29 August when the 48 clubs in Ryman North and Ryman South enter the world's oldest cup competition.

Many are taking to the road after the still regionalised draw was released by officials at the national stadium. The clubs include Faversham Town who face a trip to the winners of the extra preliminary round tie between Bexhill United and Loxwood, Tilbury, who travel to Stansted or Takeley and Carshalton Athletic, who will head to the winners of the clash between two former Ryman League clubs, Epsom & Ewell and Erith & Belvedere.

The all Ryman League ties drawn out of the hat include Three Bridges hosting Cray Wanderers, Redbridge versus Heybridge Swifts, Ramsgate at home to Tooting & Mitcham United and Whitstable Town versus Walton Casuals. New boys Phoenix Sports host Guernsey in another notable enocounter.

In the FA Trophy, the Ryman League's representatives will be among 128 clubs from Step 4 kicking off in the preliminary round on Saturday 3 October with the winners banking £2500 in prize money and a place in the first qualifying round when the Ryman Premier's clubs enter the competition.

All Ryman League encounters drawn at the national stadium include Ryman North Wroxham hosting Ryman South Hastings United, Maldon & Tiptree at home to Ramsgate, Thamesmead Town versus Brightlingsea Regent and Folkestone Invicta at home to another of the league's new clubs, Haringey Borough.

Other stand-out fixtures include Evo-Stik League Southern Burnham hosting another new Ryman club in Dorking Wanderers and Soham Town Rangers' first fixture, a visit from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Carlton Town.
