Rose gets his reward

By Peter Butcher

SUDBURY'S disappointing start to the Ryman North season continued tonight (Wednesday) when they were unable to hold on to a lead and had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Ilford.

Bradley Thomas headed home a corner to put the visitors in front in the 25th minute, and they had the pick of the chances after that only to find Ilford keeper Marc Rose was in top form.

Rose was rewarded on 69 minutes when Jan Skoniezki forced home the equaliser, also from a corner, and that was enough to earn the Foxes a point from a spirited display.
