Rose makes first moves of summer

Dulwich Hamlet manager Gavin Rose has made his first transfer moves of the summer at the Ryman League's First Division South champions.

With Hamlet now preparing to enter the Ryman's top flight in August, Rose revealed on Wednesday that provisional deals are in place to take Gabriel Oduniake from Crawley Down Gatwick, Karl Beckford from Lewes and Paul Vines from Kingstonian.

Rose has retained the majority of the last season's title-winning squad and says he'll be using pre-season to consider further moves before finalising his squad.

In an interview with the Premier Division club's Pitchero website, the Hamlet manager said: "The management team are all looking forward to the new challenge of competing in the Ryman Premier Division next season and we have an excellent pre-season programme to help get the match sharpness for the players back at the correct levels.

"Inevitably, there will be some changes. We have not renewed the contracts of Frankie Sawyer and Joshua Turner for the forthcoming season. I would like to thank both of them for their contribution to the club. Frankie has been a big part of the progression we have made over the past few seasons as a club, and was very unlucky to pick up a few injuries during the course of last season.

Rose added: "Young Josh came in from Carshalton Athletic and again had a few spells out of action due to injury, but contributed over thirty games for the club last season. We would like to wish them the best of luck in their future careers."
