Rovers boss is new first team coach

Former Stanway Rovers boss Angelo Harrop helped Brightlingsea Regent to a 3-0 win over Wroxham in Ryman North on Bank Holiday Monday after joining James Webster's touchline team as first team coach.

Harrop, who stood down before Christmas at the Eastern Counties League Premier Division club, was welcomed to North Road before New Year by Webster.

Webster, who also confirmed the appointment of Mike Wallace in a new role of performance analyst, said: "All the players have reacted very positively to the appointment. I’m very pleased to have Angelo on board because he’s an excellent young coach who is hungry to progress. That the mentality I like to have at the football club.”

Harrop said: “I’m really excited to be joining the management team and looking forward to working with a very talented squad of players.”
