Rovers knock on Ryman's door

Ryman League

Eastern Counties League promotion hunters Haverhill Rovers have applied to join the Ryman League for the first time.

Currently fifth in the ECL's Premier Division, the Reds applied for possible promotion into Ryman North next season last Tuesday.

To achieve their dream of playing in the Ryman League at the £2m New Croft Stadium they moved into in 2010, the Suffolk-based club must be accepted by the Ryman League, finish in the top three or hope one of the sides above them doesn't want to step up next May.
