Ryman rules for Hatters boss

Ryman League

Luton manager John Still is backing the two Ryman League stars he signed this week to shine in League Two.

Striker Charlie Walker from Ryman South champions Peacehaven & Telscombe and Thurrock left-back Mark Onyemah will both be playing in Bedfordshire next season after the pair impressed the Hatters manager in summer trials.

Onyemah, 19, penned a two-year contract at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday while Walker, 24, has signed an initial one-year deal after scoring twice for Luton in last Saturday's 4-0 win over AFC Dunstable, pictured.

Walker fired Peacehaven & Telscombe to the title with 43 goals last season and Still said: "Charlie is an out-and-out goalscorer. Mark’s a young boy and I’m pleased with what I’ve seen but he’s still learning. They’ll be no pressure on either of them to produce straight away. I know what they are capable of and I believe in their potential."

"Both Mark and Charlie have impressed us all with their attitude and quality. They are two very talented players who are capable of doing very well for our football club. They will gradually find their way and if they do more than okay straight away then that’s fantastic."
