Sam takes flight- from Swift to Angel

Cup hero Bantick moves to Tonbridge

A few weeks ago Heybridge Swifts winger Sam Bantick was writing himself into club folklore with the equalising goal in their FA Cup tie at Exeter City, but today he's preparing to pull on Angels wings as it was confirmed that he has moved to Tonbridge after being surprisingly released by Swifts.

Speaking on the club's website, Heybridge manager Jody Brown explained that the players release followed his reaction to being substituted on Saturday as the Swifts drew with Bury Town, adding that eighteen-goal Bantick had recently turned down a move to Tonbridge. It appears, however, that there has been a change of heart, as Tonbridge Angels have just announced that he will be in the squad to face Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow at Longmead.
