Burgess Hill Town’s fans and officials will have no worries about the roof over their heads next season after the Ryman South club’s main shirt sponsor signed on for a third consecutive season.

The Hillians announced on Monday that Paul Clifford and his company Ashdown Roofing Ltd, pictured, had extended their agreement to cover the coming campaign at the Green Elephants Stadium.

Apart from the generous sponsorship to adorn the Hillians’ first, U21s and youth team shirts, Clifford and his team have helped the Sussex club with running repairs to the clubhouse’s roof since taking over their main sponsorship.

Burgess Hill Town’s General Manager Richard Strange said: "The club are delighted to be working with Ashdown Roofing Limited for the third consecutive season. The relationship has been instrumental in the progress we have both on and off the field.

"Apart from the generous sponsorship, Paul Clifford and his team have assisted the club in its continued fight of maintaining the roof on the clubhouse over the last couple of winters. The support we receive from all our sponsors is vital for the club to continue to provide the best football and facilities in mid-Sussex."

* The Hillians return to training this Saturday and have added another friendly with Spanish outfit Nextstars visiting the Green Elephants Stadium on Saturday 12 July for a 3pm kick off. The academy side from Cadiz will feature players released from professional sides.

The Hillians have also announced that they will be teaming up again with Brighton & Hove Albion next season after the success of a joint initiative to introduce local U15s and U16s players to the club.

Their development squad has been in training for the past eight weeks and will be playing the Championship outfit’s youngsters Brighton & Hove Albion Development Centre before they break for the summer.
