'Side settling in nicely after summer makeover!

Barkingside's proud officials are looking forward to showing off their revamped home for the first time on Monday night when they kick off against Ryman North new boys Phoenix Sports.

The Side moved in to groundshare at Ilford's Cricklefield Stadium last season and volunteers and officials have been sprucing up the public areas, including the bar, pictured, over the summer in preparation for the new campaign.

Manager Gursel Gulfer's side headed to Thurrock on Saturday's first day of the campaign before they host Sports in a 7.45pm kick off.

Barkingside chairman Jimmy Flanagan said: "Just a few things we have done around Cricklefield during summer to make it more enjoyable for visiting teams."
