Snakes Alive!

Witham kids get to be the King (or Queen) of the (Bouncy) Castle- and meet some slithering and crawling creatures!

It's the summer holidays, and the kids are bored already, aren't they? Well the children in Witham have no excuse for lethargy, as Witham Town FC are laying on entertainment every Wednesday and Thursday which will not only wear the little cherubs out but scare their parents half to death!

For the sum of £6- which buys an unlimited wristband- there are ten bouncy castles and slides available from 12-4 PM. For just £2 more you can also have unlimited encounters with a selection of snakes and Tarantulas. All that fun, more noise than James Beardwell on a matchday, and lots of food, drink and ice-cream too- it's a school holiday delight!

Town Chairman Mark Nicholls explains:

"We began this initiative last year- although at that point it was only one day per week- and over 1200 children turned up. After such success we decided this year to increase to two days. It’s a great way to get people to the club, to showcase the other things we do, and it's great value and helps mums and dads to break up the school holidays. This year we hope to attract over 2000 children.

The hand zoo is going down a storm, too!"

But don't just listen to Mark- let's hear from a satisfied customer. Kyle Maling Bundock- pictured with slithering friend- explained that he loved the experience; particularly "the sensation of the tarantula climbing my hand and the snake wrapped around me."

Kyle's father Mark also enjoyed the experience immensely, and sent in the photograph- but we note there are no images of him wrapped in a snake or caressing an arachnid. It would seem that Kyle got the bravery genes in that family!

No need to book in advance. Just turn up, bounce- and scream!
