Sponsorship- and branded benchwear

By Ian Townsend

A clarification

The Bostik League has become aware of a story doing the rounds of social media about the manager of one of our clubs being charged for wearing incorrectly branded kit.

Whilst we will not comment here on the specifics of this particular case, we would point out that the League provides, free of charge, branded kit to all Clubs. The Clubs themselves order the benchwear and are responsible for ordering the correct sizes.

League Rules govern the wearing of the kit, and not wearing appropriately branded kit puts in jeopardy sponsorship deals from which all of our clubs benefit financially. We gain no pleasure from issuing charges and fines, but repeated breaches leave us with very little choice.
