Sunday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Ryman League Premier Division

Sunday's afternoon Ryman Premier 2-2 draw between Kingstonian and East Thurrock United effectively killed off both side`s admittedly outside chances of making the top five this season, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The chances of making the play-off sports were slim before kick-off for both clubs but a win – especially for K`s – could have made the last two matches interesting.

It was the visitors who took the leads on the half-hour mark when top scorer Sam Higgins made it 32 for the season before Alan Inns equalised right on the half-time whistle.

Higgins restored the Rocks' lead on the hour-mark, only for Inns to bag his own brace with eight minutes to go to pull the K`s back on level terms.
