Three more for Barking

Another trio arrive at Mayesbrook Park

Barking have already announced a number of new signings, as they focus on their first ever Isthmian South Central campaign- and yesterday they broke the news of three more new arrivals, via social media.

First in is Sporting Bengal midfielder Steven Carvell, who got nine goals last season. Steven also turned out briefly in the last campaign for Basildon United, and got four goals in eight matches for VCD Athletic during 2017/18.

Carvell is joined by Brentwood Town's Kojo Apenteng. The forward scored eight goals in forty-one appearances in sky blue last season, including one against Barking in the First Round of the Velocity Trophy- a match which Brentwood won on penalties.

Finally, winger/full back Callum Thompson moves over from Basildon United. He made ten appearances for the Bees late last season, after starting the campaign with Grays Athletic, for whom he turned out sixteen times. He didn't get off the bench as Grays lost to Barking in December, but he did play as the Bees also lost to the Blues in April.

Casuals win the first trophy of the season (or perhaps it was the last trophy of last season)! Corinthian-Casuals headed to Budapest to take part in the Corinthian Cup- and they only went and won it!
