Top two in the South East strengthen

Cray and Hastings announce Friday signings

Strengthen from a position of strength, so the old maxim goes, and both Cray Wanderers and Hastings United, in first and second place respectively in the South East Division, have done just that this afternoon.

Starting with the leaders, and Wanderers, who have already scored 33 league goals this season, have brought in another striker- and not just any striker. Moving to Hayes Lane is Margate hitman Joe Taylor, already the scorer of eight goals this season. Taylor is perhaps best known, however, not for his exploits at Hartsdown Park, but instead for his success at Folkestone Invicta, for whom he found the net fourteen times last season and nineteen times the season before. You can read more about this signing here.

Whilst Wanderers have strengthened their attacking options, United have looked at the other end of the team, and have signed centre back Jack Tucker on loan from Gillingham. It also looks likely that Utd defender Sinnkaye Christie will be making way for Tucker, as he has signed for Whitehawk with a view to a permanent deal. For more on this story, go here.
