Towners starlet heads to League One

Enfield defender signs for Doncaster Rovers- and is expected to "break into the first team in the next six months or so."


Enfield Town have announced the transfer of defender Rian McLean to League One side Doncaster Rovers. McLean has been on trial at the Keepmoat recently, having joined Town at the start of the season, having previously been at Leyton Orient. He has made fifteen appearances this season.

Doncaster boss Rovers boss Grant McCann, speaking to the Doncaster Free Press, said: “We see him as someone who we can develop over the next six months or so to break into our first team."He's 6ft 1 or 2, he's strong, he's quick, strongly built."He can play in two or three positions in the back four and at holding midfield as well."His versatility is something we're keen on as well."
