Towners to host charity game on Sunday

Enfield Town bring a number of 'Legends' to the QEII Stadium on Sunday, and charity will be the winner!

Enfield Town have announced that they will be hosting a charity match at the QEII Stadium on Sunday, with a 1PM kick off. It will be a 'pay what you can' event, but please dig deep as the proceeds will be going to support young carers in the borough. The match will feature the Enfield Town first team squad, a collection of former players, and a number of ex-professionals including the following:

  • Junior Lewis (Fulham, Gillingham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Swindon Town, Hull City, Brentford, MK Dons & Stevenage)
  • Darren Currie (Shrewsbury Town, Plymouth Argyle, Barnet, Wycombe Wanderers, Brighton & Hove Albion, Ipswich Town, Coventry City, Derby County, Luton Town, Chesterfield & Dagenham and Redbridge)
  • Darren Purse (England Under 21, Leyton Orient, Oxford United, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Yeovil Town, Plymouth Argyle and Port Vale)
  • Barry Hayles (Full international Jamaica, Bristol Rovers, Fulham, Sheffield United, Millwall, Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City & Cheltenham Town)
  • Glen Wilkie (Leyton Orient)
  • Martin Grainger (Colchester United, Brentford, Birmingham City & Coventry City)
  • Andy Marshall (England Under 18 & Under 21 International, Norwich City, Bournemouth, Gillingham, Ipswich Town, Millwall & Coventry City)
