Tuesday's Premier Division action review

Ryman League Premier Division

The only two games in the Ryman Premier on Tuesday night saw victories for Hampton & Richmond Borough and Metropolitan Police, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Beavers entertained a Hendon side sitting some seven places above the hosts at kick-off – but ended the game just two points and two placed behind them in mid-table after inflicting a 5-2 drubbing.

Charlie Moone bagged a first half brace with goals in the 21st and 28th minutes and that's how it stayed at the break. But Moone completed his hat-trick just six minutes after the restart and added a fourth from the penalty spot four minutes later.

The Greens managed to pull two back, thanks to Jefferson Louis in the 76th and 86th minutes, but Tommy Brewer made it a nap hand for the Beavers a minute later.

Met Police now sandwich Hendon and Hampton in fourteenth place after a good 2-1 win at New Lodge against tenth-placed Billericay Town.

It was the Essex side who started the better and took an eighth minute lead through Ricky Sappleton. The much-travelled Allan Tait equalised in the 33rd minute and then Steve Sutherland put Jim Cooper's side in front five minutes before half-time.

Billericay had Junior Luke sent-off for a dangerous tackle on 61 minutes to virtually kill off their hopes of getting back into the game.
