Metropolitan Police moved into sixth place in the Ryman Premier table after ending Hampton & Richmond Borough`s mini revival at Imber Court on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

After two successive wins, including beating the Met in the Robert Dyas League Cup, the Beavers produced a disappointing performance and fell behind to a 37th minute Bradley Hudson-Odoi goal after 37 minutes. And then right on the stroke of half-time, Ryan James doubled the Met`s lead. Michael Charles confirmed victory with a third on the hour-mark.

Canvey Island edged out Harrow Borough by a single goal against Dave Anderson's side at The Prospects Stadium.

John Sands` fifth goal in his last four games after 14 minutes proved decisive in a game that saw five bookings and three dismissals. Both sides were reduced to ten-men on 65 minutes when Boro`s Lewis Driver and the Gulls` Rio Bryan-Edwards were dismissed after a mass altercation near the dug-outs.

Harrow's Steve Butterworth was later shown a straight red card after the final whistle for dissent.
