Tuesday's Ryman Premier action review

Ryman League

There were a couple of games in the Ryman League's Premier Division on Tuesday night and one of them saw Harrow Borough climb out of the drop zone after winning their relegation battle with fellow strugglers Bury Town at Earlsmead, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Boro took a 42nd minute lead through Michael Bryan and then quickly added a second from the penalty spot, converted by Marc Charles-Smith. Jordan Patrick reduced the deficit in first half stoppage time to give the visiting Blues hope before a third goal from Jerome Walker on 68 minutes sealed a good evening`s work for Dave Anderson`s side.

Canvey Island moved up to tenth in the table after coming back from behind to snatch a dramatic victory at the Beveree against Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Leading thanks to Jake Rose's fine free-kick after 41 minutes, it looked like a third win on the bounce was on the cards for the Beavers. But Canvey came on strong and took home the three points after they exploited mistakes late on.

Mike Jones' 73rd minute goal got the away side back on terms but there was worse to come for the Beavers. Three minutes from the end one point turned into three when Rio Bryan-Edwards converted to nod the Gulls ahead, a sucker punch Alan Dowson's side couldn't recover from.
