Tuesday's games in the Ryman Premier saw Hendon win the top five clash at Leiston to move eight points in front of their hosts and ten points clear of sixth-placed Metropolitan Police, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The only goal of the game at Victory Road came from Kezie Ibe with 13 minutes of normal time remaining.

Harrow Borough sunk back into trouble after going down to defeat by the same scoreline at Earlemead to a Tonbridge Angels side who were also heading in the wrong direction in recent weeks, Royce Greenidge`s 14th minute effort ending a three-game winless run for Angels.

Enfield Town missed the opportunity to move into the top five after losing 2-0 at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium to an East Thurrock United outfit who are now just a point behind them in the table.

Top scorer Sam Higgins gave the Rocks a 36th minute lead and then Reece Harris made sure with a second in stoppage time at end of the game.

Wingate & Finchley also missed the chance to move to within striking distance of the play-off places after losing 2-1 at the Harry Abrahams Stadium to inconsistent Kingstonian.

Pico Gomez gave the K's a great start when converting an early third minute penalty. Ahmet Rifat eventually equalised in the 73rd minute, but parity lasted barely three minutes as Gomez grabbed his second to win it for K`s.

Bognor Regis Town are back in the race for a top five spot after their 5-2 Nyewood Lane win over struggling Witham Town lifted them to within four points of Leiston in fifth.

Jason Prior gave the Rocks a 17th minute lead and then three goals in 10 minutes killed the Essex visitors off. Ollie Pearce started the run in the 19th minute and then Stuart Green and Doug Tuck made it 4-0.

Nikki Beale managed to reduce the arrears after 39 minutes and then a few alarm bells began to ring when Ellis Brown pulled a second back for Garry Kimble`s side three minutes later.

However, Prior restored Bognor's three-goal advantage seven minutes after the break and any hopes Witham had of making further in-roads into the scoreline receded when they had Jack Paxman dismissed with 11 minutes remaining.
