Tuesday's Ryman Premier action review

Ryman League Premier Division

A Freddie Ladapo hat-trick inspired Margate to a comfortable 3-0 win at Imber Court against the Metropolitan Police on Tuesday night as Terry Brown's side closed the gap on second-placed Hendon to just three points in the Ryman League's Premier Division, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The three points for Gate means they now only require just three points from their remaining seven games to secure a play-off place.

Margate dominated from start to finish as they put last Saturday's defeat to leaders Maidstone United behind them with Ladapo beating Met keeper Joe Tupper for the first time after nine minutes.

Met Police, chasing a play-off place themselves, never really tested Nikki Bull in the first half and despite looking a far better side after the break, found themselves further behind on 70 minutes when Ladapp slammed home his second of the night. With a minute left on the clock, he raced clear before firing past Tupper to earn himself a hat-trick and the match ball.
