Tuesday's Ryman South action review

By David Watters

Ryman League South Division

Ashley Baverstock grabbed an 83rd-minute equaliser for Whitstable as they came from behind to draw 1-1 draw at home to Horsham in Ryman South.

Tuesday's night only game in the division saw few chances for either side before Billy Dunn put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot on 50 minutes following a foul by John Guest.

Town's Peter Huggens could have levelled with a long range shot soon afterwards and Guest had a chance to redeem himself but sent his header straight into the grateful arms of Horsham keeper Michael Hunter.

Hunter continued to frustrate the home side but could do nothing to stop Baverstock finding space and heading home from a corner seven minutes from time.

Back in it, Town had a good chance in injury time to steal all three points. Instead, Joe Kane hammered a shot just over the bar after a melee in the Horsham penalty area.
