Urchins strengthen

National South defender arrives at Bridge Avenue

After an excellent start to the season AFC Hornchurch have had a more difficult time of late, sliding down the table after picking up only two points from their last eighteen. Manager Jim McFarlane has looked to strengthen his defence, and the club has announced the signing of Michael Clarke from Concord Rangers.

The former Leyton Orient, East Thurrock United and Braintree Town defender arrives with his former club- now managed by ex-Leatherhead boss Sammy Moore- in tenth place in the National League South table. The Urchins travel to a resurgent Haringey Borough on Saturday.
