Wednesday's Ryman North action review

By David Watters

AFC Sudbury went to Ship Lane on Wednesday night top of the Ryman North table and they consolidated that position after defeating Romford 1-0, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

In doing so increased they not only their lead at the top, but also their winning run to ten straight victories. The Sudbury winner came early in the 10th minute, courtesy of Jordan Blackwell and, despite putting the opposition under pressure for the majority of the match, they could not add to the goal tally.

The win puts Sudbury five points clear of second-placed Cray Wanderers with a game in hand but several of the other clubs in the play-off places have games in hand on Sudbury.
