Wednesday's Ryman South action review

By David Watters

Ryman League South Division

There was only one game in Ryman South on Wednesday night but it turned out to be a ten goal thriller with hosts Worthing emerging as 7-3 winners over Crawley Down Gatwick.

The Anvils had hit back to take a 2-1 lead after Worthing' Mark Knee scored from the spot on 26 minutes, Lee Carey and Trevor McCreadie scoring within four minutes of each other soon after the half hour mark.

But Keiron Pamment ensured the sides went in level with the first of his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time. Pamment then kicked off a five goal scoring spree inside ten minutes of the restart, scoring grabbing two himself either side of a Dan Turner effort on 47 minutes. Ashley Elson did pull one back for the visitors on 52 minutes before Chris O'Flaherty made it 6-3 by the 54th minute and finally wrapped up the scoring with just over 20 minutes to go.
