Heybridge Swifts manager Keith Wilson has been reunited with Dave Patient, his former number two at Burnham Ramblers.

Wilson left the Leslie Fields Stadium last month after four years to take the helm at Ryman North rivals Swifts following the departure of former manager Jody Brown from Scraley Road to Ryman Premier Grays Athletic.

Patient, who held the fort at the Ramblers before leaving the club before the start of the new season, was alongside Wilson in the dugout on Saturday when Swifts drew 1-1 at home to Chatham Town.

Patient, who has only been with four clubs in 34 years in football and has also held the post of vice-chairman at Burnham Ramblers, will work alongside player-coach Lee Boylan and goalkeeping coach Ricky Clarke who stayed on at the club to support Wilson following his appointment.

Former Heybridge Swifts player Bertie Brayley took over at Ramblers a few days before the start of the new season. Brayley, 32, has played for a host of Essex clubs including Chelmsford City and Braintree Town, and replaced Lee Elliston who stood down two weeks after initially replacing Wilson.
