A Friendly round up

By Ian Townsend

Here- to the best of our knowledge- is what happened in Tuesday's friendly matches

Southall welcomed Bracknell Town on Monday, and the two sides played out a one-one draw. We don’t know who scored for the All.

Abbey Rangers played host to Ashford Town, and the Tangerines ran out two-one winners. All the goals were scored after the break.

Ascot United and Slough Town played out a goalless draw.

Badshot Lea met a Winchester City side who hit a rich vein of goalscoring form, scoring six without reply; whilst Hashtag United won three-one at Barking, Hassan, Zuhdu and Djemaili with the goals for the Tags, all after the break.

Chatham Town and Sittingbourne entertained a crowd of six hundred and thirty with a two-two draw. Bodkin and an own goal notched for the hosts, whilst the Brickies saw Mays and Broomfield find the net.

Folkestone Invicta fell to defeat by the only goal of the game against Tonbridge Angels, whilst along the coast Herne Bay defeated Lordswood four-two. We’re not sure of the scorers, but we do know that Archie Burnett scored one and assisted two more as he said so on social media!

Hythe Town and Faversham Town played out a goalless draw, perhaps because all of the goals had been delivered to Ramsgate by mistake. The Rams defeated Canterbury City by seven goals to two- Jack Paxman (3), Lee Martin, Jordan Green (2) and Medy Elito with the goals.

South Park Reigate and Crawley Down Gatwick shared four goals equally, Ethan Ford and Sam King striking for the Sparks.

Finally, Whitstable Town had a good result against an Isthmian side at the weekend, defeating Basildon United, but Ashford United proved much more difficult opposition and the Nuts and Bolts ran out four-nil winners. Parish opened the scoring in the first minute, Draycott quickly doubled their advantage, and a trialist made it three before the break- and our nameless friend added another in the second half.
