A Midweek round up

By Ian Townsend

We had a number of clubs in action on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Here's what happened

With a strong reliance on social media (which is, of course, not always reliable!), here's what happened to our sides in midweek.

Wednesday

AFC Totton defeated Bognor Regis Town two-nil, whilst Romford welcomed another set of Rocks, East Thurrock United- and this set of Rocks were on a roll, wining three-one.

Sutton Common Rovers defeated Crawley Down Gatwick three-one, and we know that Walthamstow met Harpenden Town, but neither team seem to have mentioned the score!

Thursday

Bearstead were the hosts for Erith & Belvedere, and the Deres ran out four-nil winners despite featuring a number of members of their youth team. Bowers & Pitsea defeated Lydd Town three-one, all the home goals coming for trialists, and there were more trialists than regular first teamers for the Scholars as Potters Bar Town fell three-one at Buckhurst Hill.

Great Wakering Rovers and Concord Rangers delivered a five goal thriller in Benfleet, with goals for Albon, Day and Knott giving the Beachboys victory, whilst Hassocks were defeated three-nil by Burgess Hill Town (pictured), the Hillians regularly thwarted by some fine goalkeeping. O'Toole (pictured- Chris Neal), Ward and Finney scored the goals, the third the pick of the bunch. More photographs here.

Finally, we believe that VCD Athletic and Ramsgate shared five goals, the Rams winning three-two.
