Martin Onoabhagbe brings a buzz to the Bees

Basildon United this morning announced the signing of Cray Wanderers centre back Martin Onoabhagbe.

Martin came through the Academy at Crystal Palace, and away from the game studies Sports Psychology.

He signed for Cray in August, but that wasn't his first spell at Hayes Lane. Martin played briefly for Wands during the 2019-20 season, making his debut in their victory over league leaders Worthing at Woodside Road on February 8th 2020. He made one further appearance- and was on the bench as his former side travelled to East Thurrock United, before leaving Hayes Lane to sign for the Essex Rocks in March 2020. The pandemic meant that he was only able to play twice in Thurrock before the season crashed to an end, and he was back with Wands last season, playing three times and winning three times- in the FA Cup at Moneyfields, and in the FA Trophy at Whitehawk and Uxbridge.

He also spent a brief period with Greenwich Borough.
