A new striker for Ashford United

Gary Lockyer signs for the Nuts and Bolts- but doesn't have to move

Ashford United have signed striker Gary Lockyer from neighbours Kennington, for whom he has scored eighteen SCEFL goals already this season. The Nuts and Bolts, in third place in the Pitching In Isthmian South East Division, perhaps don't like the idea that five clubs have scored more goals, and have decided to do something about it!

Gary isn't entirely new to the Isthmian League, as he previously played for Ramsgate. He started out with Gravesend and Northfleet, had trials at Charlton Athletic and Aldershot Town, and spent many years playing for Lydd Town in the shadow of the nuclear power station. he won back to back promotions with Kennington.
