A Jammer and a Barking Blue sign on at Aveley

Aveley last night announced the signing of left back Makhosini Khanye and attacking midfielder Tom Salter.

Makhosini comes in from Maldon and Tiptree, where he has made five appearances this season- the last of them coming in defeat to Heybridge Swifts last month. He came through the ranks at Brentford, and after leaving Griffin Park played in the SCEFL for Erith and Belvedere before being signed by Bristol City.

Upon leaving City he turned out for Greenwich Borough, and has since had two spells at Staines Town, a short time at Whitehawk, and spent much the 2019-20 campaign with Faversham Town, where he made twenty five appearances. He joined the Jammers in September last year.

Tom comes in from Barking, and has played twice against his new club already this season, coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup draw at Mayesbrook Park and the replay at Parkside. He also played in the victory against Heybridge Swifts, and has been on the bench for much of the campaign so far.
