A pair of Oysterboys

A keeper and a defender sign on at Whitstable

Whitstable Town have announced that goalkeeper Dan Eason and defender Jake Mackenzie have signed on for 2021-22.

Keeper Dan is no surprise, he's been the Oysterboys number one for the best part of six years. He managed eleven appearances before last season came to a sudden end, forty one before the same thing happened in 2019-20, and forty six the last time we actually managed to finish a campaign- 2018-19. He must like the Kent seaside, as he's also featured for Hythe Town and Herne Bay.

Jake joined the club at the start of the 2019-20 season, moving up the coast from Ramsgate, where he spent four years. The right back made thirty nine appearances before the 2019-20 season came to an end, but drew a blank last season. He originally joined the Oysterboys back in 2012, after departing Gillingham.
