Bracknell Town yesterday announced the signings of Dave Tarpey and James Clark.
Tarpey has most recently been in the National League with Woking, but will be best none as a Maidenhead United legend, with a rather incredible ninety eight goals in one hundred and thirty eight matches. He also turned out for the likes of Barnet, Hampton and Richmond Borough and Farnborough, and his departure from Woking is mainly as a result of their decision to go full time. However, as he explained on social media:
"Delighted to have signed. I said to Bobby (Wilkinson, Town's manager) 15 years ago I will play for him again, with a family and future work to think about that time is now. This club is about to start a great journey and I'm buzzing to be part of it."

Clark has most recently been with our very own Marlow, where he notched eight goals in only thirteen appearances last season. He previously played for Robins manager Bobby Wilkinson at Hungerford Town and Wealdstone.
James had spent time on loan at Marlow in 2018-19, scoring at better than a rate of a goal every two games, before joining them permanently during 2019-20. He was also a great success at Hayes & Yeading United during their Isthmian South Central promotion season, scoring a dozen goals despite playing out wide for much of the campaign. He has also played for Maidenhead United, Didcot Town and Thatcham Town.
