A Rovers trio

Adam Aziz, Ben Jordan and Aaron Lamont are new at Sutton Common Rovers

Sutton Common Rovers announced their first three arrivals of the summer at the weekend.

Adam Aziz was a big part of Knaphill's success in the Combined Counties Premier last season, playing forty four times and scored eleven goals.

He scored eighteen goals in twenty seven games for South Park Reigate during the 21-22 season, then moved to Haywards Heath Town, where he made only a brief stop as his season was brought to a premature end after he suffered a serious injury.

Ben Jordan makes the move from Merstham, who he joined just before Christmas and played for six times. Ben was previously with South Park Reigate, making fifteen appearances for the Sparks last season, scoring three goals- and that followed twenty nine appearances and five goals during 22-23, and twenty six with one goal during 21-22.

Midfielder Aaron Lamont was also at Merstham last season, making eleven appearances after departing Pitching In Isthmian South Central promotion chasers Raynes Park Vale.

Aaron was only with Vale for a relatively short time, although he did play for them during the 22-23 season too, a big part of the promotion winning side. His latest spell saw him play seven times, culminating in defeat against Chertsey Town on January 13th.

Prior to returning to Vale, Aaron was with Carshalton Athletic. He made fifteen appearances with the Robins, and scored three goals. He signed for Leatherhead in January 2022, and made nineteen appearances as the Tanners narrowly failed to hold onto their Pitching In Isthmian Premier status

The midfielder came through the youth setup at Queens Park Rangers, from where he moved to Hampton and Richmond Borough, and had three spells at Kingstonian which were interspersed with spells at Truro City, Braintree Town and our former orange favourites Walton Casuals. He also had a period with Ramsgate which saw him play twenty two times during the 2019-20 season, and spent part of that 19-20 campaign as a Moatsider, playing eight times.
