A Saturday friendly round up

It was the last match of pre-season for many of our clubs. Here’s what happened.


The preliminaries are almost over, with the league campaign kicking off next weekend. Here, according to social media, is what happened yesterday. Let us know if we missed any!

Billericay Town defeated Biggleswade three-one, with goals from Burnett, Cerulli and Bancroft, whilst Bowers & Pitsea lost four-two to Stowmarket Town, Stewart (2), Thompson-Lambe and Bullard scored for Town, A Trialist and Junior scored for Bowers.

Brentwood Town welcomed Brightlingsea Regent and won four-two. We don’t know who scored for Town, but Ollie Sotoyinbo and Sam Jeremiah scored for the visitors.

Canvey Island defeated VCD Athletic by four goals to two, scorers as yet unknown, whilst Carshalton Athletic welcomed Hashtag United and were rather too welcoming, losing three-nil- Cornhill, Apenteng and Haysom scoring for the Tags.

Cray Wanderers defeated a Bromley U23 by the only goal of the game. Anthony Cook got the goal from a free kick in the second half.

Enfield Town hosted Berkhamstead at Donkey Lane and won two-nil, with goals from Della-Verde and a trialist, whilst Felixstowe & Walton Utd scored four against Ipswich Town Under 18’s, but conceded five! Aitkens, Brown and Warren scored for the Seasiders.

Grays Athletic welcomed Harlow Town, winning two-nil with goals from Aron Gordon and Correy Davidson, whilst Haringey Borough went three better, defeating Marlow five-nil. Burgin (2), Georgiou, Akpan and Obeng got the goals.

Horsham welcomed Cray Valley PM and won four-three. We believe that Fenelon scored twice for the Hornets, Day was also on the scoresheet, whilst Bennett, Samuels and Coombes scored for the Millers.

Leatherhead and Burgess Hill Town managed six goals between them, the Hillians with four of them. Ward, Skerry, Box and Pitcher scored for the visitors, Tarpey and a trialist scoring for the Tanners, who announced Mick Sullivan as their new chair. Images from Chris Neal.

Maldon & Tiptree defeated Aveley two-nil, goals from Kemp and a trialist, whilst Merstham lost two-nil to Kingstonian, Louis Collins with one of the K’s goals.

Ramsgate welcomed Hastings United, the visitors winning six-two. Hull (2), Chalmers (2), Pope and Stone were on target for the visitors, we don’t know who scored for the Rams. Binfield won one-nil at Thame United, a goal from Harry.

Uxbridge defeated AFC Dunstable three-nil, with goals from Talla, Beadle and Bitmead, whilst Ware welcomed Corinthian-Casuals, the side in pink and brown winning four-two.
