South Park announce three- before collecting our Pitching In Performance of the Month Award and defeating Rovers

In the run up to Saturday's match with Sutton Common Rovers, South Park announced three new signings- two of whom played a part in their victory.

Nabeel Ghannam and Lee Dobbs both arrived on loan from National League South promotion-chasers Dorking Wanderers. Nabeel, a wide or attacking midfielder, has been a part of the Wanderers reserve side and has also played at Loxwood and Alfold in the Southern Combination Football League and been a part of the youth side at our very own Three Bridges. He made his debut wearing number eleven.

Lee Dobbs, another midfielder, was on the bench for the match. Lee was a big part of the Wanderers Under 18 side which reached the First Round of the FA Youth Cup for the first time during 2019-20, and plays alongside Nabeel for the Reserve side at Meadowbank.

Gavin Quintyne made his Sparks debut wearing number twelve, and managed seventy six minutes on his debut before being substituted. Yet another midfielder, he has far more experience than the other two, having played for the likes of Tooting & Mitcham United, Tonbridge Angels, Kingstonian and Chipstead, amongst others.

This season he has been turning out for Croydon in the SCEFL and Horley Town in the Combined Counties League.

None of these new signings is in our picture, which shows Sparks boss Martin Dynan and skipper Matt Faithorn being presented with their Pitching In Isthmian Performance of the Month Award for October, by Pitching In Isthmian League Vice President Ray Lewis. It was appropriate that the club were receiving the award at this particular match, as it was for their performance the last time they played Rovers, a six-nil victory.
