A Swift double

Heybridge Swifts bring in two

Heybridge Swifts boss Julian Dicks has made his first two signings of the summer, with the arrivals of goalkeeper Callum Chafer and defender Joe Claridge.

Callum was a big part of successful sides at Hornchurch, Romford and Bowers and Pitsea, with two spells at both the Urchins and at the Len Salmon. He also spent a little time at Redbridge, and much less time at Hertford Town.

Left back Joe spent time as a youth with Chelsea, West Ham United, Southend United and Ipswich Town, but has much Isthmian experience and was part of the Swifts side which triumphed in the Playoffs a few years ago, and has most recently been with Coggeshall Town. Before his first Swifts experience he turned out for Maldon and Tiptree and AFC Sudbury, and he has made twenty three appearances for the Seed Growers during the last two truncated seasons.
