A trio of Urchins

Hornchurch have been busy in the transfer market

Hornchurch have this week brought in three new signings, with the arrivals of Tommy Cummings, Alex Osborn and Charlie Ruff.

Charlie moves over from Potters Bar Town, where he has only been since July. He made thirty one appearances for the Wingate and Finchley last season, scoring a rather impressive nine goals, returning to the club last September from Kings Langley as one of manager Spencer Knight's first signings after taking over. He'd only left Summers Lane at the end of 2018-19, a campaign during which he played nineteen times.

Previously with Hertford Town, Charlie was a member of the England Representative XI which flew to the Falkland Islands for a number of matches in November 2018.

Tommy came through the Academy at Charlton Athletic, and went on to play for Grays Athletic, Thurrock and Wingate & Finchley. He's generally a left back, and was an unused substitute against Wingate and Finchley and Kingstonian this week.

Alex returns to the club, although if you missed his first spell that's not a surprise, as he made only one appearance last season. He previously played for Grays Athletic, Dagenham and Redbridge, Concord Rangers (on loan), Ebbsfleet United (loan), Hayes and Yeading United (loan), Whitehawk (loan) and Maidstone United (loan), before joining Whitehawk permanently. More recently he's been in National League South with Hemel Hempstead Town, East Thurrock United and Chelmsford City.
