Hornchurch defender George moves to Maldon, perhaps attracted by their appearance on The Chase!

Maldon & Tiptree have announced the signing of Hornchurch defender George Winn.

George (not pictured!) has only made a couple of appearances for the Urchins this season, and spent last season, what there was of it, in the Pitching In Isthmian North Division with Aveley before moving on to Waltham Abbey- his second spell as an Abbot.

He accompanied Urchins boss Mark Stimson to Bridge Avenue from Waltham Abbey. He previously played for Thurrock and Redbridge, and indeed was part of the Thurrock side which defeated Maldon & Tiptree in the North Division Playoff Final in 2017, but we're sure that Jammers fans won't hold that against him. So long as he plays well, obviously!
