Accolade put to good use in race for play-offs

Macron Club of the Month Awards

Collecting Enfield Town's first performance accolade of their Ryman League campaign has definitely been put to good use by manager Bradley Quinton.

Since picking up Macron's Ryman Premier Performance of the Month Award for January before beating Leatherhead 3-1 in the middle of March, Quinton's sixth-placed side have gone on to win four out of their six outings and are now just a point and a place off the play-off spots with three games to go.

Quinton, pictured after being presented with an inscribed glass trophy by Isthmian League secretary Kellie Discipline at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium marking the club's award-winning performance title-chasing Maidstone United - a 3-0 win at the Gallagher Stadium on Saturday 24 January - is no stranger to honours this season.

Not long after stepping up from his previous post as assistant manager in August to replace the departed George Borg, he guided the Towners to three wins and two draws in the top flight - the results including an impressive 3-1 home win over Margate - to win October's Nicholas Rowe Manager of the Month Award. Like all winning managers this season, he was later fitted for a made-to-measure suit by the Ryman League's Surrey-based sponsors and tailors.

Heybridge Swifts and Whitstable Town also won their first Macron accolades of the campaign when they were named alongside the Towners as the inaugural performance kings of 2015.

Like the Towners, the pair recorded stunning victories away from home at title-chasing clubs to win the vote of the monthly competition's judges who consider a shortlist of potential clashes and the form and circumstances behind the performances of the clubs involved.

Whitstable Town ensured Faversham Town lost ground in their pursuit of champions Burgess Hill Town to win Macron’s performance award in Ryman South, the Oystermen emerging as 3-1 victors from their trip to Salters Lane on Saturday 24 January.

Heybridge Swifts collected Macron’s Ryman North honour for their impressive 3-2 win at Harlow Town on the final day of the month, Saturday 31 January.
