Alex keeping it Cray

Alex Bentley swaps Cray Wanderers for Cray Valley PM

Cray Valley PM had a debutant in their ranks as they drew at Sittingbourne on Saturday, Alex Bentley making the move from Pitching In Isthmian Premier Cray Wanderers.

Alex started his second spell with Wanderers- the first was around a decade ago- in the summer, making five appearances. The full back joined Wands from Bowers and Pitsea, where he played forty one times last season- a big part of their run to the First Round of the FA Cup, and to the Final of the Essex County Cup.

Prior to his time at the Len Salmon Alex was in National League South with Tonbridge Angels, and before that was a mainstay of the Hornchurch side which was incredibly successful under Jim McFarlane, spending seven seasons with the club and playing almost three hundred times. He tends to play at full back, but is also comfortable in midfield.

Alex has also spent time with Dagenham and Redbridge, and a brief period with Bromley.
