Alexander: Boro will bounce back

Blaming a lack of mental toughness for not being able to overcome visitors who played with 10 men for more an hour to stop their season ending in heartache, Alexander told fans on Wednesday that they'd learned a tough lesson for next season after seeing their opponents celebrate after the final whistle, pictured.

The Boro manager, pictured, said: “Listen, we’ve come up front the Kent League and managed to earn 95 points. We know we’ve fallen short and we know where we’ve fallen short – it’s disappointing but we can’t say we’ve had a bad season.

“All credit to Corinthian Casuals. They’ve scored three times with ten men and you don’t need to tell me that if you let in three goals with ten men then there is no way that you are ever going to win an important game of football.

“Did we have the right mentality? Did some players handle the big occasion? We’ve come unstuck and I need to figure out why and learn from it because it’s not easy for any of us to take after working so hard this season.”
