All the two's!

Two was the magic number in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier last night

Bognor Regs Town came from two goals down to claim a draw at Hayes Lane last night, as Cray Wanderers picked up their first point of the campaign- but must have been disappointed that it wasn’t three. The Wands had only beaten the Rocks once in seven attempts, but looked odds on to clinch victory after Nyren Clunis made it two-nil just after the break from twenty five yards, Harold Joseph haven put them ahead just before the half hour after pouncing on a corner.

The Rocks didn’t lie down, however, and with eighteen minutes left Nathan Odokonyero- who had been on the pitch for less that fifteen minutes- got one back from the spot. The same player then grabbed that point with his second, four minutes later, finding the top corner from outside the box to prove himself a super sub!

At Tooting & Mitcham United’s Imperial Fields, new tenants Kingstonian welcomed Wingate & Finchley- and to begin with were far too welcoming. Dylan Kearney put the visitors ahead on twenty two minutes, finishing a fine counter-attack, and nine minutes later K’s fans were shocked when their opposition got another- Kavan Cotter making it two with a wonder strike from thirty yards. The hosts were back in the game just before the break, Kieron Cadogan halving the deficit with a shot that was too strong for the keeper- and three minutes after the restart Gabriel Ajuchi drew them level. And that was that.

Bognor ended the night in sixth place, the Wands are seventeenth, the K’s fourteenth, and the Blues one place behind them. But after just two matches, that doesn’t really mean an enormous amount!
