Another Bowers man heads Aveley way

Ben Steward follows Jamie Dicks and Tom Stephen to Aveley

Just a few days after they announced the signings of Jamie Dicks and Tom Stephen, Aveley have made another trip to the Len Salmon with a shopping trolley and returned to Parkside with a freshly-wrapped Ben Steward.

Defender Ben has had two spells with Bowers, with a spell at Basildon United in between.

He made twenty seven appearances for Rob Small's men last season, just missing out on their FA Cup run but playing a full part in their run to the Final of the Essex County Cup and- of course- in another successful Pitching In Isthmian Premier campaign.

He started last season at Basildon United, making seventeen appearances before his return to Bowers, added to the six he made before the 2020-21 campaign crashed to an early end.
